Local Proctoring at the McKimmon Center

Please consult your Instructor concerning his/her test policies and materials. It is the responsibility of the examinee to have the instructor send the appropriate test materials.

The calendar for managing test proctoring appointments is based on a test's begin time. Please keep in mind that appointment slots for any particular time are limited, therefore early scheduling maximizes your appointment options.

Appointments are available as follows:

By emailing a request to the proctoring service at mcproctor@ncsu.edu.
By calling the proctoring office at 919.515.2138.

Cost of Exam Proctoring:

$30 per session
Payment is expected at time of arrival. Please allow a few minutes before your scheduled exam to make your payment.
Method of payment is CASH ONLY. Please NO personal checks or credit cards!
There is an ATM on-site for your convenience.

Proctoring Guidelines

Schedule your regular exams at least 1 week in advance of the date of your exam.
Schedule your final exams as early in the semester as possible.
Be on time! -- Preferably a few minutes early. If you arrive late you may be asked to reschedule. If you can not make your appointment please contact the office as soon as possible at 919.515.2138.
Bring only a picture I.D., pen and pencil, and anything else permitted by your instructor.
Leave your backpack, books, personal belongings, etc... in your vehicle. Cell phones and pagers are not allowed in the test room!
Food and/or drinks are not allowed in the test room.
Children are not allowed in the testing office. Please call to reschedule should a problem arise.

Please be aware that the test room is monitored with video surveillance equipment. Please also keep in mind that this is a high traffic office and we are not responsible for items that you bring that are not allowed in the testing rooms. We highly encourage you to leave your backpacks, books, and other personal belongings at home or in your vehicle.
